2011/2012 Things Our Kids Did
Breast Cancer Awareness 2011
Our School supported Breast Cancer awareness. On Friday October 21st we had our students dress in pink. Every Friday we allow our students to "dress down" we call it greens for jeans. The money goes to our Technology Fund. This Friday a portion of the Greens for Jeans money will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Above is a picture of Ms. Nicole Brill's 4th grade class. They were the "pinkest" class in the school. Ms Brill is front left. The PTO also gave every student a pink ribbon silly band and a pink pencil. Every employee was given a Breast Cancer awareness Pen. We also celebrated Red Ribbon Week October 24th - 28th. The teachers gave lessons on staying drug free etc.
The PTO did distribute; drug free/just say no pencils; book marks; lollipops; pins and stickers. Our Middle School Students signed cards pledging to stay drug free. On Nov 1st we had a fun McTeachers Night at McDonald's on 5741 Coral Ridge Drive in Coral Springs. Our Teacher's got behind the counter and served the students, families and friends and a portion of all sales from 5pm-7pm are donated back to the school.
Everyone was welcome.....Ronald McDonald was there!!!!!!
