Parent Involvement
We know that your cooperation with us and your support of your child’s education is crucial. Research has proven it time and time again. Parental involvement can make the difference between success and failure in school.
Broward Community Charters & Discovery Middle warmly encourages participation at many levels - whether visiting classrooms, becoming involved in our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) or joining us as a field trip chaperone, there are many, many ways to become involved in your child's education at Broward Community Charters & Discovery Middle.
Parents are required to complete thirty (30) hours of volunteer time per year for one child and ten (10) additional hours for each additional child. Devoted and dedicated parent volunteers work so diligently to assist the school and are a big part of our school family and culture. We truly are a family of educators and learners - and we have a tremendous support system available to which we all contribute, and from which all of our children benefit.
